    Frequently Asked Questions

What standards does the conductor of this PV-cable comply with?
The conductor is a class 5 tinned copper conductor manufactured in strict accordance with the EN 60228 standard, offering excellent flexibility and corrosion resistance.
What are the preferred conductor sizes available for selection?
The preferred cross-sectional diameters for the conductor are 2.5 mm², 4 mm², 6 mm², 10 mm², and 16 mm².
How does ambient temperature affect the current carrying capacity of the PV-cables?
At temperatures up to 60°C, the conversion factor is 1.00. As ambient temperatures rise above this limit, derating factors apply (e.g., 0.71 at 90°C and 0.41 at 110°C) to maintain safe operation.
What fire safety and environmental tests do these halogen-free PV-cables pass?
These cables successfully undergo tests for vertical flame propagation (EN 60332-1-2), ozone resistance (EN 50396), UV-resistance (HD 605/A1), and acid/alkaline chemical resistance.
How do these cables perform in extreme cold conditions?
The cables are tested for cold impact, cold elongation, and cold bending at temperatures down to –40°C to guarantee structural integrity and prevent cracks.
Are the insulation and sheath materials completely halogen-free?
Yes, both the insulation and the sheath are extruded using specialized halogen-free compounds that limit toxic smoke emissions under fire conditions.
